养子与养父母之间是法律上承认的抚养与被抚养的关系，养子具有赡养义务，也具有继承权。这些义子（也叫干儿子）都不具备。

养子是指被托付给别的家庭抚养长大的男子。 而义子是认做的，并不是从小开始被抚养长大的。
