It made me think of Thoroughly Modern Millie. :)
(Although, I guess the meaning in your example is mild frustration. Channing's use of the word in the movie is an upper-class cheekiness. Common people blow raspberries.)

Blowing raspberries... is common... so one might just say 'raspberries' and people should figure out what you mean. Peachey's right, mild exasperation/disagreement/ a bit of an 'up yours!'
