Person B. Not yet. Don't worry. He probably just stopped off for something. / He probably just stopped off somewhere.

that sounds great, although I don't think I would say He probably just stopped off somewhere" maybe "he probably stopped off somewhere else" or more likely, "he probably stopped somewhere else"
