I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a "news" station. You can broadly classify the German radio stations by "public" (öffentliche-rechtliche) ones owned by the Länder (NDR = Norddeutscher Rundfunk, HR = Hessischer Rundfunk, BR = Bayrischer Rundfunk etc.) and the "private" ones. The news are usually pretty neutral and more or less free of political views. At least one of the public radio stations per Land will also have a cultural program, which sometimes includes political discussions. I've never listened to DLF or Radio Wissen, so I can't compare. Generally speaking, political discussion rounds (no matter what orientation) can always be somewhat patronizing, so I usually avoid them. :-) There are also the XX-info stations; they might actually be what you're looking for, but I don't have personal experience listening to them, so I can't give recommendations. Maybe try one of the more conservative Länder first (SWR-indo, BR aktuell/BR plus). All stations should also broadcast via the internet.
