Are 'comes along' and 'arrives' interchangeable in this sentence? Any bus will take you to King's Cross so get on the first that comes along. I'm trying to know if either are possible to refer to using transportation.

'Comes along' is better in this situation, because it suggests the element of chance and casualness (like 'turns up') . It doesn't matter which bus you get.

There is a difference in meaning, though. It depends on how accurate you wish to be. "Arrives" actually denotes the end of a journey or the end of one stage of a journey.

Yep, both work fine in this context.
