How to form fractions and decimal numbers in Old English? Hi I'm currently learning Anglo-Saxon, which is the ancestor of modern E. And I was wondering how to form fractions....I'm informed that dǣl is used in fractions. 1/3--þridda dǣl, 1/7-seofoða dǣl....but what if I wanna express 2/3, 3/5 for examples? Or if I want to use"two point one"(2,1)...then how do I say it in OE?

Thanks for posting Nicolaus V. Wang! Unfortuntly italki is ill suited to handle this kind of request. You could try taking a look over at http://www.omniglot.com/writing/oldenglish.htm, and see if any of that material helps you! You can also check the discussions page for similar topics! Best of luck! -Chris
