End or Finish? Can you please explain when we use "end" and when we use "finish"?

Hi Krisis, Both can be used interchangeably however, one is more appropriate than the other in certain contexts. How are you trying to use it?

The two terms are interchangeable in many cases. You can also associate "terminate" and "conclude" with "end" and "finish" I usually end my conversations on Skype each day about 8 or 9 AM. I usually finish my conversations on Skype each day about 8 or 9 AM. I usually terminate my conversations on Skype each day about 8 or 9 AM. This is the end. This is the finish. This is the terminus. This is the conclusion. We will end here. We will finish here. We will terminate here. We will conclude here. This is where I will terminate my remarks. This is where I will conclude my remarks. It is appropriate that I finish my answer to your question. This is the end of my answer.
