Bargaining at the Local markets. I'm studying Jordanian Arabic. I've been told my several native speakers of Arabic that everyone bargains at the local markets in Jordan. Also, that it is important for me as a foreigner to know how to negotiate a price of an item. What are some good phrases to know how to negotiate a price of something in a local market? I already know of: بكم القام؟ شكرا

Not only in Jordan do people bargain but also all around the Middle East. You can use phrases like.. kteer ghali كتير غالي (very expensive). "la, ma beseer" لا ما بيصير (I don't know how to translate this into English but it's used to express that you're just not going to buy it because it's expensive"... fiik tnazzil el se'r shawi? فيك تنزل السعر شوي؟ (could you lower the price a bit?)...
