What is the difference between these two words? Thanks!

To say someone is ignorant is suggesting that they have a profound lack of knowledge, education and awareness of the world. There may also be the implication that they are rude and lacking in manners. Please be careful how you use this word, as it is always insulting.
'Clueless' (as in 'He hasn't got a clue') is not so much about education. but rather about not knowing what to do in a given situation.
