Using verbs in て form as regular words? Every once in a while I've come across a verb in te form being used as just a regular word which seems interesting to me. The most common way I've seen is when it's ~ては, however I've also seen 這い蹲ってでも and such, and I'm curious as to what this form is doing and/or why it's necessary?「明けては暮れてゆく」と「這い蹲ってでもあなたに近づきたくて」とで、「明けて」と「這い蹲って」とがなぜですか。

Hi, I couldn't understand your question for my English. Could you please write it again in other ways of saying it?
