time goes by/ goes on When time goes by/ goes on / passes Are the three correct? I don´t know if the words " as time goes by " in the song in " casablanca" can be used these days or it is old and poetic only. Thanks

All of these make sense, but "as time goes by" and "as time goes on" are more common in everyday English, in my opinion. Examples: "As time went by, the King realised he had made a mistake." "As time passes, it is easier to forgive the people who hurt us." "We hear less about the rumours, as time goes on."
