I agree with Cherry. When I was living in the UK, I had a friend called Victoria, but she wanted everyone to call her "Tori". I did not understand why though because it sounded like the colloquial name of the Conservative Party.

The nickname associated to Victoria is usually Vicky. It can also be Vic, but Vic is usually short for Victor instead, and is less commonly associated with Victoria.
