To miss a plane? or to lose a plane? which is correct? Thank you!!

If you miss a plane, it means you are late and don't make it in time to get aboard.
To lose a plane is when a plane just disappears and no-one knows where it is - which sadly happened last year to a Malaysian airline flight.

To miss a plane or to miss a flight, either would be correct if you're referring to being late for a flight.
