I think a better way of saying it is "Did Caron talk to Kevin?"
Also, if you want you can add in the word 'yet' so for example, "Has Caron talked to Kevin yet?"

Yes, it's correct. If you wanted it to be reported speech, you could write:
My friend asked me if Caron had talked to Kevin.
