You don't need to ask "how are you" everyday like in standard english, a normal greeting (ohayou, konbanwa, etc) would be just fine. But other ways to say this would be: -"Genki desu ka" or just "genki" if you want to be more informal. -"Choushi wa dou desu ka" or just "choushi wa dou". The first one is more polite and the second one is informal, casual (I hear that more often) -"Gokigen ikaga desu ka". This is used with someone with a higher status than you. -"Saikin dou desu ka" or just "saiking dou". Works the same as I said with "choushi" greeting, but the difference is that "saikin dou" would mean something like "hey, what's new with you?".
