what is the difference between being driven and being motivated?

In the context of motivation they are fairly interchangeable. Driven is usually a very intense way to say motivated without deterrent. As in: "I'm driven to be the best language teacher". Motivated doesn't have the same intensity. " The smell of dinner motivated me to clean my room faster".
