Hey
"Slip-on" is a shoe that does not have ties and you can put on ot take them off very easily.
"Plonk" as a verb, it means to set down something heavily or carelessly. For example:- she plonked her glass on the table.
"work out" means to complete or solve something (in your case it is solve).
Hope it helps.

Good answers. Plonk is a great word for wine - 'just bring a bottle of plonk to the party.'
I can think of a few other similar expressions which might be interesting:
1. You can 'slip into' something comfortable, e.g. a loose shirt
2. You can 'slip on' ice which probably means you'll fall over.
3. A 'workout' refers to exercise, e.g. he went for a tough work out in the gym.
Hope this helps.
