what's the difference between travel, journey, trip and way?
I often confuse these words, their meaning seems pretty similar and I don't understand which one to use. For instance in the following sentence:
"My mum and dad have booked a journey/trip/travel to Greece for our holidays this August"
which is the right word to use? Could anybody explain me when to use each of these word?
Thanks in advance.

Travel as a noun refers to the concept e.g. I love travel - it's my hobby.
Journey refers to the time when you are between your house and your destination. It doesn't refer to a holiday or time spent at the destination.
Trip has two meanings. The first is the same as journey. The second refers to the whole time spent away from home (e.g. journey and holiday / visit).

Way has numerous usages. One of them is "on the way"
e.g. I am on the way to Benidorm = I am currently on a journey to Benidorm = I am currently travelling to Benidorm.
Another usage is similar to "route" or "direction" e.g.
Can you tell me the way to the bank? = How do I reach the bank?
