"Hello, how are you" can be said as "Hello, kumusta ka na?" in conversational settings. Sometimes when speaking with friends the phrase "O, kumusta?" may be used or simply "Kumusta?".
To be more polite or when speaking with someone older or of higher status than you "po" or "ho" is usually added.
"Hello, kumusta na po/ho kayo?"
Though this may be infrequently used by elderly people to a younger person who is a complete stranger.
"Mabuhay" generally has different meanings which could be "Hello", "Greetings", "Welcome", "Long life to you", "Live long and prosper". This could be used when making toasts or the like at parties and a way of welcoming guests. This expression is not used in normal conversations and usually reserved for formal occasions and to foreigners visiting the country as a sign of Filipino hospitality.
