Hello Ilma,
To guess or deduce a words meaning from context is a skill which needs to be learned and practised. It is not always necessary to get the exact meaning of the word you don't know a close guess is good enough.
A game that you can play with your friends is 'coffee pot', where you replace a known word in a sentence with the words 'coffee pot'. Your partner then hass to guess the meaning. A simple example of this is: 'Every morning I get up and coffee pot a cup of tea.' Possible answers would be drink or make.
With real texts you can look at the sentence and see if you can work out if a word is likely to have a positive or negative meaning, what part of speech it is, is it likely to be a key word or just adding extra information which may not be so vital.
Hope this helps
Bob
