How can I improve my English pronunciation? Do you know exercises or tools (like for example apps for Smartphone) that can help me to reach this goal?

Part 2: Virtually all dictionaries will include a word's IPA spelling. I recommend the Oxford Dictionary (widely considered to be the most 'standard' English dictionary) because it tries to acknowledge every use of any kind of English, anywhere in the world. https://www.oxforddictionaries.com/ If you look up "water" and then click "See definition in Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary", you can see that the pronunciation is /wɔːtə(r)/ in British English, and /ˈwɑːtər/ or /ˈwɔːtər/ in American English. I like to make flashcards on Anki (http://ankisrs.net/). I enter the word in the language I'm learning in the first field, I enter the English translation in the second field, and I enter the word's IPA and the recordings from Forvo (as well as a few examples of the word in sentences as well as any notes might need to make) in the third field. When I'm studying, I only see the first or second field at first. The third field is only visible after I click "show answer". I only mark myself correct if I can correctly translate the word to or from English, say the word out loud correctly and remember any relevant notes I might have added. I then read all the example sentences before moving on to the next word. Anki is also an Android and Iphone app. After you've done some studying or added new words, you just need to hit a button and the changes will synchronise across all your devices as well as the program on your computer. So long story short: copy native speakers as much as possible, referring to a word's IPA if necessary. Also, try to expose yourself to as many accents as you can.

Salve Valentina I recommend you look up Gabriel Wyner. He has written a book called Fluent Forever which has a lot of great information on how to improve your pronunciation and ability to hear the sounds in your target language. He also has a great website with some free tools and some very reasonably priced ones that can help you with your pronunciation. I agree with Jmat that Forvo is a great tool. You could also try rhinospike. All the best!

www.forvo.com is a very good website for learning the pronunciation of any language. Users can upload words, and any native speaker can record their own voice. You can see on a map where each person doing the recordings comes from. For example, here's the page for "water": http://forvo.com/word/water/#en If you scroll down to the map, you can listen to recordings from various parts of the US, England, Australia, Scotland, Ireland and Canada (unfortunately there are no recordings from anyone from New Zealand, South Africa (in English anyway) or Wales for the word "water"). Imitating the recordings is good practice. It also allows you to hear the differences between different accents. Most words don't have as many recordings as "water". If you make an account (for free), you can simply click "request a new pronunciation" and the word will appear on a list for words that have been requested. Any native speaker can then record the word. You can also add completely new words this way. You can download any recording as an mp3. Here's the Italian version of Forvo: http://it.forvo.com/ Since English isn't completely phonetic, it might be helpful if you learned IPA. You'll want to refer to these websites: http://www.bethtovey.com/language/ipa.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Phonetic_Alphabet_chart_for_English_dialects http://www.yorku.ca/earmstro/ipa/ (you can listen to the sound each IPA symbol makes here - keep in mind that not every sound on this website is used in English)
