reverse is what you use here. Or better, switch. I want to switch the places of these two guys (only if 2 guys) if you have 3 or more guys A B C and you want to change to C B A, I don't think you use switch for more than 2. English may not have an easy way to express it. I want to reverse the order or maybe invert the order of these guys in line..

The word converse doesn't have that meaning. "To converse" is a verb used when you are having a conversation, when you are exchanging words with someone. What James said is correct in this case. Good luck!

Reverse as a verb mainly means "move backwards". Example: The car reversed and hit the man who was standing behind. Example: Placenta injections are said to be effective in reversing the ageing process. It can mean "swap" if you are talking about roles or positions. Her former boss went backrupt and is now working for her. Their roles have been completely reversed. In your example, the most appropriate verb is "swap" and not reverse. Let's swap the positions of these two men. Reverse as a noun has a number of meanings. It normally means "opposite". Example: "Do you think he does not like wine? In fact, the reverse is true: he loves it." Converse as a noun mainly refers to a transposition of two words or concepts. Example: Economics has a major influence on politics. The converse is also true: politics has a major influence on economics. One sincere word of advice to you: do not try to expand your vocabulary by reading words from a word list or from a dictionary. Learn new English words by reading articles and books. Learn words in context. Learn one meaning in one context at a time.

CONverse (accent on CON) means "opposite" conVERSE (accent on VERSE) means to talk (formal for "to talk") spelled the same, pronounced differently. I assumed the question was about CONverse.

Zhang Shun, you seem to need a better dictionary. Which one are you using?
