Non-defining relative clauses and "that" !! Hi As I know, In Non-defining relative clauses ,which have commas before and after the clause, we can not use "that". But in an example sentence written in British Council website I found "that" in that kind of relative clause. Here is the example: The film, that stars Tom Carter, is released on Friday. Is it correct? or we have to say like this: The film, which stars Tom Carter, is released on Friday.

The explanation directly above the sentence says that this is not possible. Still, I'm not sure why the writers of the site decided it was a good idea to present a "wrong example".
