What is the difference between "help sb out with" and "help sb with"? I don't know when to use "help sb out with" and "help sb with" ? For example, I helped him out with his homework. I help him with his homework. Which is correct?

Help out = a clear result.

The "out" is not needed here. You can always say just "help" instead of "help out", but not the reverse.

There really is no difference. Like at all. Except that you would use "I helped him..." If you were writing a paper.

The difference is too minor to worry about.
