I suspect that this is a clever means of getting round censorship regulations. The word 'fudging' sounds a lot like another seven-letter participle beginning with 'fu' and ending in 'ing'. The only difference is that you are allowed say 'fudging' in a family movie but you aren't allowed to say the other f-word. In other words, this simply means 'very cute indeed'.
