What does the verb "facilitate" require at the end?

Using the infinitive is incorrect.
Using the gerund is probably acceptable grammatically (I'm not 100% certain) but it does not sound good in my opinion.
What I would say is: It facilitates the development of innate skills, such as...

Dilya, the verb "to facilitate" does not take either an infinitive or a gerund. Facilitate, in this instance, is a transitive verb, meaning that it needs to take a noun as its direct object. While "facilitates developing..." is understandable, it is not correct grammar, because "facilitate" is not an auxiliary verb. It would be more correct to say: "This facilitates the development of innate skills." ["development" is the direct object of the verb "facilitate.]
