It depends on the situation.
If it's a formal situation: then yes.
If it's an informal situation (with friends): then no, it sounds awkward.

Kate is right. You must make the "liaison" between "est" and the next word if the next word starts with a vowel.
Kate a raison. Il fait faire la "liaison" entre "est" et le mot suivant si le mot suivant commence par une voyelle.
