What's the pronunciation difference between "halve" and "have"?

Hi! I'm not sure about it, but halve in UK:/hɑːv/ en US:/hæv/ , in the other hand have, its strong pronunciation is: /hæv/ and the weak is:/həv/ /əv/ --- In conclusion halves in US is the same as have in USA (strong way)

In North America, the two words have the same pronunciation: the 'a' is pronounced the the 'a' in 'after'. In England, the 'a' in 'halve' is usually pronounced like the 'a' in 'father'.
There differences between the pronunciations of these two words in other regions like Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, and Ireland are more subtle.
