what does this means
"He said that if I work for him, I wouldn't have to pay for this month's rent, that he'd call it even." What does "he'd call it even" means in this sentence ?

To call it even means to not owe anything to someone. So in this case the speaker wouldn't have to owe the other person money for rent if the speaker worked for him.

"What does this mean" - the s is already on 'does', you don't need to add it also on mean (means).
