How do you say "晚自习“ in English？ In China,some Middle and High schools have this kind of classes at night. Usually will last about more than 1 hour(from 6:00p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) .Students are required to stay at school to study.Sometimes they will study by themselves and sometimes the teachers will have classes or exams.It is called"晚自习“ in Chinese.But how can we say it in English?

"Evening self-study" Just like you also have 自习室 - "self-study rooms".

In fact, we say “Study Hall” because "self-study" is very strange and very long. "We need to go to the study hall at 4:00 pm." Which means 我们要去自习室了, 也就是意思是我们要去上自习了。 This is all of my English teachers said, I don't know why others will say "self-study".
