Are these sentences written correctly? How many years did you reside abroad? When I meet my love I am pretending not to love her. To be happy you should accept yourself as you are.

its correct : How many years did you reside aboard ? -When I meet my love, I will pretend that I don't love her. (you are talking about future) its correct Or you can say : You should accept yourself (as you are) to be happy.

The first and third lines are perfect. The second is troublesome, and it also depends on you are talking about when you meet your *current* love or when you meet some unspecified stranger that you fall in love with in the future; This leads to two different recommendations: When I eventually meet the love of my life, I will pretend that I don't love her. When I meet with my darling, I always pretend that I don't love her. (In the latter case, that doesn't sound nice!)

It would be nice if you answer that question so what should I write not to or to not?

Are you asking if it should be 'not to' or 'to not'?
