What's the difference between the prepositions of time "for" and "during"?

You use 'for' when you're talking about the duration of something --> I visited my friend in Berlin for a week. You use 'during' to give extra information (something that we did or happened) within that time period --> During my stay in Berlin, we ate out in restaurants every night.
