what does this phrase mean in this context? Hi all, I'm reading an article online, but I cannot understand one phase and a term in the article. Here I paste the phrase here: "with our statistics showing a dip to an average price of around just $1000 return." In this phrase, what does "return" mean here? return tickets, maybe? also, "a dip to an average price", does it mean that the price has dropped to an average of $1000? Also, the term, harborside, in this article, I cannot find the meaning in the dictionary, and it seems to be a restaurant in Hong Kong?! this is the article I was reading: http://worldtourstoday.blogspot.tw/2015/04/8-tips-on-finding-cheap-flights-from.html Thank you very much

Yes, ' a dip to an average price of around just $1000 return' means that the prices have dropped, and now a return ticket (round trip) costs, on average, only $1000. 'Harborside' means what is says - by the side of the harbor/harbour. 'Harborside skyscrapers' are skyscapers located next to the harbor. Think of the compound adjectives 'seaside' 'waterside' 'lakeside' 'riverside' and so on.

Hello Hui-Hua, YOUR EXAMPLE 1: "with our statistics showing a dip to an average price of around just $1000 return." In this phrase, what does "return" mean here? Answer: It means the price has gotten lower and the new average is around $1000. "Return" is the trip to a destination and back to your starting point. We call this a "round trip" ticket. YOUR EXAMPLE 2: Also, the term, harborside, in this article, I cannot find the meaning in the dictionary, and it seems to be a restaurant in Hong Kong?! Answer: Harborside means the places right by the harbor. I would say this is usually shown as "harbor-side". I hope this helps you! Your reasoning is good! Great effort! Keep up the learning! :)

dip = to go down to a lower level to an average price = the common price of around $1000 for a return -flight- (no one way) harborside= is the place near the harbor (like countryside) Bye! Laura
