"Past Perfect Continious" or not?
Хочу перевести диалог из сериала, где девушка выезжая со стоянки задним ходом, сбивает пешехода. Подбигая к этому пешеходу она спрашивает:
- Что Вы делали позади моей машины?
Правильно ли я делаю перевод? Мне кажется тут время Past Perfect Continious:
- What had you been doing beyond my car?

"What were you doing behind my car?"
From your situation, this is a slightly absurd thing to say (ie. it was the pedestrian's fault) - is that the effect you want?

Привет! Нет, здесь не стоит использовать Past, речь не про прошлое - девушка подошла к пешеходу сразу после происшествия. Если следовать вашей логике перевода "What have you been doing behind my car?".
Я бы наверное перевела как "Why have you been behind my car?'.
(кстати, такой вопрос к сбитому пешеходу - весьма странный :)).

Я не уверена но, может, проще сказать: what did you do behind of my car?
