mispresent
To express something to be reported by media in a distorted way. Can I say that this news has been mispresented. I wonder if "mispresent" is a commonly used word in such context. What would you say in this situation?

In this situation when you say the media is reporting something in a distorted way, this could could mean bias. Bias is showing favoritism. Many news networks/media outlets in America have their bias. They don't misrepresent the news, they display it in a way that favors which ever the side they're on. Ex. CNN and Fox News. They are on opposite sides of the political spectrum, they each show bias in news reporting.
