그날 아침에 날씨가 맑고 비가 오지 않았습니다.
Should 그날 be separated (i.e. 그 날 아침에 날씨가 맑고 비가 오지 않았습니다.)?

그 날 is grammatically correct.
But, 그날 is also allowed because it can be considered as a word.

그 and 날 should be separated :) And this would sound more natural : 그 날 아침은 날씨가 맑고 비가 오지 않았습니다.
