Hi, verbal/oral is when you tell a joke, or a funny story.
A practical joke is actually when you play a trick on someone, expecting it to be funny.
So maybe switching the salt and sugar
Sending someone to the shop for a 'long weight' (long wait).
It is action, but it's not a 'sketch' or short play, it is a trick. You may want to look up April fool's day, the day where we all play tricks and practical jokes on each other.

Hi Lotus,
Verbal humor is simple if I tell a joke and you laugh. Once I (or the person) says something funny it's verbal humor coming from their mouth.
A practical joke is when you act out the joke in real life. It's not verbal or just said by my mouth anymore, I do this joke by physically doing something to affect someone to get a laugh.
Hope this helps :)
