잡힐 듯 잡히지 않으니까 is like 잡힐 듯하면서도 잡히지 않으니까. It describes something that looks as if you can catch or reach at it with your hand but which still stays out of reach. I think "It seems so close, but so far away" is slightly off, strictly speaking, because there is nothing being "so far away" in the original. You can probably translate it like: - Looking so close, yet out of reach (-니까 represented by the participle "Looking") - As it looks within reach but never is (-니까 translated to "As")

I've actually heard this song recently and I know a bit of the lyrics.. lol -듯하다 (…것 같다) = to look like, to seem, to appear, to sound like, to look as if 잡히다 = to be grabbed/caught/grasped 잡히지 않으니까 = because one (I/you/he/she/it/they) don't/can't be/doesn't get caught Example: 손에 잡히다 = to get ahold of 손에 잡힐 듯하다 = to be within one's (my/your/his/her/its/their) grasp/hands. 손에 잡히지 않아요. = One (I/you/he/she/it/they) can't get ahold of usu. it. So .. (Second stanza of first verse) 니 손에 올려주고 싶어 (파란 하늘) = I want to place it (the blue sky) in your hands 잡힐 듯 잡히지 않으니까 = yet, I can't seem to get ahold of it.. I think I agree with Tony on this one. The phrase "the blue sky seems so close, yet so out of reach" would be a more appropriate English translation to describe the situation in the song :) 평생 간직하고 싶은데 = I want to cherish it for a lifetime, but 너와 나를 저 해질녘처럼 행복의 순간은 넘 짧아 = like the sunset (the part of the sunset where there's barely any trace of blue sky left; right before it becomes dark or in other words, dusk), the moment of happiness is too short for you and me
