Tuteur communautairePronunciation of s between 2 vowels
In Italian, how does the letter "s" in between two vowels pronounced?
For example in words like casa, scusi, etc; is the S pronounced more like English Z? Or is it differ depending on the region of Italy?

Hi Steven, when the letter 's' appears between two vowels it can be either "sorda" (deaf)- pronounced 's' or "sonora" (loud)- pronounced 'z', depending on the region the speaker comes from.
