Hi everyone,
Could you tell me the difference in meaning between the following sentences if there's any?
a) Turn it in as soon as you've finished your assignment.
b) Turn it in as soon as you finished your assignment.

The first sentence is correct. The second is not. You need to use “you have” or “you’ve” here.

b) would be written like this..
Turn it in as soon as you finish your assignment.
There is no difference in meaning.
Normally you would put 'it' after you have said 'your assignment'..
Turn your assignment in as soon as you have finished it.
