You could certainly say that, yeah. You don't need to say the name of the holiday as through context people would know what you mean. But, if you want to emphasize it (I know it is a big holiday in China) then what you say is fine.

How was your holiday?
including "National" before holiday is not necessary. We wouldn't say that where I am.
