What´s the meaning of chewy and chewed?

Talita, Chewy is an adjective, which means your describing something as chewy. For example, gum is chewy. Whereas, chewed means that something was actually chewed prior to you saying so. Example: I chewed that gum and then placed it under the table. Hope that helps, Jared

The meat was very tough and chewy, so I chewed it for a long time to make it tender.
