Is strange if I use the expression "If I'm not wrong" when I'm not sure about the info I'm giving?
This is just an attempt to "transplant" a mother tongue expression, "se eu não me engano". I just wanted to know if makes sense, if ppl commonly use this expression, and stuff. Actually I often use this expression, not necessarily with English native speakers but I have no idea if that's ok or if makes sense. Lol. I also would like to be corrected if I made any mistake in here.
Thx.

I would tend to say "if I'm not mistaken," or "if I recall correctly."

I agree with the comment from Vortex, "If I'm not wrong" sounds a little off. I would use "If I'm not mistaken" or "Unless I'm mistaken".
