"Would" has different uses as follows :
- It could be used for past prediction or a prediction about a possible situation to happen in the present or the future .
Example :
She had exercised hard . She would sleep well that night . (past)
What about going to the beach next weekend ? That would be nice . (present or future)
- would + like is a polite way of asking for something that you want or inviting someone to do something .
Example :
Would you like to go to the cinema ? ( present ,future)
-Would is also used in the negative form for a refusal .
Example :

"would" in English is used for the conditional tense. It is not the future tense, and it almost always have a supporting clause. For example, there is a difference between "I will go if I had enough money," and, "I would go if I had enough money." The difference between "will" and "would" is that "will" means something definitely happens in the future, and "would" means it may or may not happen.

You use the word "would" in condicional (sentences with if) sentences when you try to express what you would do if you could (if you were able). Compare: should have done - would have done - could have done
