serious party
What is the difference between serious party and friendly party ?
Note : I don't mean the serious party in new Zealand :)

I have never heard anyone say "friendly party", but it probably means it's mild, possibly appropriate for children.
"Serious Party" means it's more "wild" than a friendly party. Depending on the context it could mean the use of alcohol/drugs.
As with anything in English it can be used ironically, so don't be alarmed if your friends want to do some "serious partying", it could just mean board games and fruit punch :)
