Walk along the park
I was told this is not correct . Why?
Don't you say walk along the beach , the street etc?
Actually , the sentence was : I walked along Hyde Park.
Thank you

I think you can walk aLONG something, if it is LONG, stretched in one direction: along a line, along a riverside, along a street. But not along a forest or along a square or along a park: they are not long, as a rule. I would say "in the park" or "through the park".

It sounds perfectly okay to me. You could also say, "I walked through the park."
