I'm not entirely sure how to explain the grammar of it, but we say it exactly as in English i.e. 'Jag/Du/Vi/De spelar fiol/piano/gitarr/...' = 'I/You/We/They play violin/piano/guitar/...'. The singular form of the noun is used as can be seen. We don't use the -en, -et or other endings however.
