Hi Yula! A cabinet is a cupboard with shelves or drawers for storing or displaying things. I would use the words ākitchen cupboardā (or you can use ākitchen unitā) instead of ākitchen cabinetā. Iām a native British English speaker and a teacher. Maybe kitchen cabinet is used more in American English? Have a nice day!:)

Hi Yulia,
A cupboard can be in any room and can be any size from small to very large. It can be used to store anything at all.
A cabinet is a small to medium size cupboard with shelves. Cabinets are usually located in kitchens and bathrooms, or sometimes there is a drinks cabinet in the living room.
If you want to describe a cupboard in a kitchen, perhaps one that hangs on the wall or is under the benchtop, you can call it a kitchen cupboard. This is the kind of cupboard you might store crockery, glasses, or some food in.
If you are referring to a tall kitchen cupboard used for storing lots of food, you could call it a pantry. Sometimes pantries are called walk-in pantries if they have double doors and you can stand inside them.
This is from an Australian English speaker. Hope it's helpful!
Cheers,
Linda
