Che differenza c'è fra "mais " e "granturco "?

'mais' ha origine dal nome con cui Cristoforo Colombo ha conosciuto questa pianta. 'granturco' (in origine: grano turco) indica che la pianta viene da molto lontano, (ma in realta` non viene dalla Turchia, viene dalle Americhe - Nord,Centro e Sud) I due termini indicano la stessa pianta, non abbiamo preferenze, sono sinonimi al 100 %.

Ciao. Le due parole sono sinonimi. Il "mais" è una pianta che viene chiamata anche "granturco".
