I'm a friend of Paul's / Paul? - I'm a friend of Paul's.

- I'm a friend of Paul.

Are both correct? Or only the one with 's is correct?

"I'm a friend of Paul" or "I'm Paul's friend" is correct. "of" shows possession You don't need both "of" and 's. But people say "I'm a friend of Paul's" a lot in spoken English!
